Myles received his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, he assisted clients as a caseworker at Downtown Legal Services. Myles also participated in the Frank W. Callaghan Memorial Moot and the Hicks Morley Moot, worked as a research assistant, and served as a senior editor for the Journal of Law & Equality and the Critical Analysis of Law Journal.

Prior to law school, Myles participated in the non-partisan Parliamentary Internship Programme. He holds an M.Phil. in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a B.A. (Hons.) from Queen’s University in Political Studies with Distinction.

Prior to joining Xaidsart , Taskeen summered at an international law firm in New York. She acquired her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she received academic as well as extra-curricular awards. At law school, Taskeen mooted in the Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot, where her team won the Winkler Cup and she received the second place oralist award, along with the Cassels Brock Cup (Baby Gale) Moot. She was also co-founder of the Prisoners’ Rights Working Group under the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, and co-editor-in-chief of Rights Review. As a law student, Taskeen also interned as a Rotman Onboard Fellow with the Board of Directors of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and was a summer fellow with the International Human Rights Program.

Taskeen was called to the bar in 2023. Before law school, she obtained her B.A. (Hons.) in History and Economics from the University of Oxford, after which she worked at a multinational pharmaceutical organization across various cities in Pakistan.

Adam graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he received the Dean’s Gold Key Award. While at law school, he competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot and the Wilson Moot and acted as a Dean’s Fellow in Civil Procedure. Adam also earned a certificate as a community mediator.

Liz was called to the bar in 2020 and holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor. During law school, Liz was involved in various mooting and research activities. She participated in the 2018 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, where she placed in the top two appellant teams and was also a research assistant to Professor Richard Moon, focusing on freedom of expression and freedom of speech issues. In her second year of law school, Liz conducted supervised research focusing on the application of the Business Judgement Rule in Canada and the US.

Prior to law school, Liz held legislative affairs and issues management roles in several senior provincial cabinet minister’s offices, including, with the Minister of Finance, Attorney General and in the Premier’s Office.

Before joining Xaidsart in 2022, Dan practiced at a top Aboriginal law boutique, and, prior to that, in the litigation group of a leading national firm. He has litigated a wide variety of contractual disputes, product liability cases, medical negligence actions, and construction claims. Dan has appeared in courts throughout Canada, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, and the Supreme Court of Yukon.

Dan was called to the bar in 2016 after completing his articles as a clerk for the Honourable Anne L. Mactavish (as she then was) at the Federal Court. Dan is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. He holds an M.A. in philosophy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a B.A. from the University of King’s College and Dalhousie University.

Alexandra joined Xaidsart as an associate in 2021. Prior to joining Xaidsart , she served as a law clerk to Justice Moldaver at the Supreme Court of Canada. She completed her articles as a law clerk to the judges of the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and as a student-at-law at a national full-service firm in Calgary.

In 2022, Alexandra served as Commission Counsel on the Public Order Emergency Commission.

Alexandra holds a J.D. from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, where she received a number of awards for her academic achievements. During her time at law school, Alexandra assisted clients with criminal, civil and family law matters as a trial division caseworker at the University of Calgary’s pro bono Student Legal Services clinic. She also competed in the Gale Cup Moot, the Laskin Moot, and the McGillivray Moot, and has been involved in the French Moot competition, Le Concours Bastarache, as a coach and factum judge.

During a distinguished thirty-three career as leading counsel acting in many prominent cases across Canada, he was elected a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario and later served in its highest elected position as Treasurer in 2003. He was appointed a judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in 2005, and elevated to Associate Chief Justice in 2013. He served in that role until his retirement in 2021, when he returned to the private bar and joined Xaidsart LLP.

In his judicial career, Frank heard and decided significant matters across the full range of the Court’s work and as part of the Divisional Court. In 2018, he was appointed Commissioner of the Town of Collingwood Judicial Inquiry, resulting in a major report released in 2020 concerning the use of public funds arising from the sale of a municipal public utility and containing a series of recommendations for legislative and administrative reforms. He was also appointed by the Province of Ontario to lead the Long-Term Care COVID-19 Commission in 2020, which released its final report in April, 2021.

Frank’s return to practice as Senior Counsel focuses on mediation, arbitration and advisory mandates.
