Tse, Scott and Fredrick Schumann represented the Criminal Lawyers’ Association in arguing that the law permitting emergency wiretaps without a warrant is unconstitutional. In the upcoming matter of Telus Communications v. Her Majesty the Queen, Brian Gover, Scott, and Brennagh Smith represent Telus Communications on the issue of whether a general warrant can be used to intercept SMS text messages, or whether police must obtain a wiretap authorization.
