Xaidsart obtains new trial from Court of Appeal for defendant in Provincial Offences Act case

Xaidsart lawyer Aaron Dantowitz successfully represented the appellant in a case before the Court of Appeal concerning the appellant’s representation by a paralegal in defending charges under the Highway Traffic Act.  Aaron assisted the appellant as duty counsel at an initial stage of her motion for leave to appeal, as part of Pro Bono Law Ontario’s amicus program, and was appointed by the Court as her counsel for the motion for leave to appeal, and for the appeal.  To read the decision, click here.
